Outlook Express – Lost Your Buttons?

There are many of my customers that still use Windows XP and Outlook Express and I get this question often.

Outlook Express or Windows Mail Email Lost your create mail, reply, forward, print and delete buttons in the top toolbar?

Try changing the layout in outlook Express or Windows Mail Email

1.outlook express

2.In the first window that comes up; Click on view (menu at the top)

3.Then click on layout from the view drop down list

4.Checkmark “toolbar”

5.Be sure to click OK

What to do if you lost the buttons on the top of the new message window (like send, cut, copy, paste, etc…)

1.Start a new email message (create mail button)

2.Click on view

3.Then click on toolbars

4.Standard buttons

Lost the formatting bar ( no font size, color, or font style)?

1.Start a new email message (create mail button)

2.Click on view

3.Then click on toolbars

4.Formatting Bar

    Thank you so much for your help. I have had Outlook Express for 8 years on my computer this is the first time I have lost the toolbar at the top. I right clicked next to Help and “bingo” everything appeared again.

    Read your simple Outlook Express missing buttons…I think my brain is missing some too! Got buttons, but no printer icon. It does work. Recently downloaded Mozilla – hence no printer. I’ve dragged a printer up for Online, but Outlook Express, separator etc no joy
