Yahoo Email-Save Picture Attachments

March 4, 2008

1. Login to Yahoo email and Open the email message containing the photo(s) you wish to save
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the picture attachments are
3. Click on “scan and save to my computer”
4. Click on the “download attachment button”
5. Click on the “save” button
6. Double-click on “my pictures or pictures folder”
(Note: If you cannot find my pictures or pictures folder, or don’t think you are in the pictures folder, click on my documents or documents on the left side of this window, for Windows Vista users you may have to click on browse folders button on the lower left to see all the folders, click once on documents to open the documents folder, then double-left-click on pictures or my pictures folder)
7. Click on “save” button
8. Click on “open folder” if you wish to view the picture – double-click on the photo to view it in full.
9. Close the window and go back to your inbox

How to save pictures from a Yahoo email message When they are not attachments (inserted images)
(Note: This also will work with most email clients that contain messagages with embedded photos or images.)
1. Login to Yahoo email and Open the email message containing the photo(s) you wish to save
2. When you see a photo you wish to save
3. Right-mouse-click once on the middle of the photo
4. Left-Mouse-Click once onĀ  “save picture as”
5. Type a name for the photo in the file name field; just backspace out whatever they called it and type in your own name
6. Click on the “save” button
7. Double-left-click on my “pictures folder” or “pictures” folder
(Note: If you cannot find my pictures or pictures folder, or don’t think you are in the pictures folder, click on my documents or documents on the left side of this window, for Windows Vista users you may have to click on browse folders on the lower left to see all the folders, click once on “documents” or “my documents” to open the documents or my documents folder, then double-left-click on “pictures folder” or “pictures” folder.)
8. Click on “save” button

To find the previously saved pictures later
1. Click on the “start” button (If using windows vista the start button will be the windows log circle buttton on the far lower left side of the screen)
2. Click on “my pictures” or “pictures”
3. Scroll down if needed to find your saved photo
4. Double-left-Click on the photo to view
(Note:If you can’t find my pictures or pictures folder you may have your windows xp set to classic settings….if so, Click on my documents folder on the desktop, then double-click on my pictures folder, double-click on the picture to view. In Windows Vista, if you cannot find the pictures folder by clicking on start logo button on the lower left, and then click on pictures, click on your username folder on the desktop, then click on picutres folder, scroll if needed to locate your saved picture and then double-left-click on it to view.)
