1. Open the message containing the picture attachments
2. If you get a yellow bar at top that says, “attachments, pictures, and links in this message have been blocked for your safety, click on “Show Content” if you know the recipient and click on “mark as safe”
3. Double-click on the attachment usually called (for example: img1002_345.jpg or if a movie file video5_movie.wmv) a file download window will popup
4. Click on open if you just want to view it – if you get an internet security popup about website wants to open web content using this program on your computer, checkmark, “do now show me the warning for this program again” – click on “allow”
How to Save a Picture or Movie attachment from your LIVE (hotmail)
1) Open the message containing the movie attachment you wish to save
2) Click on the name of the attachment you wish to save in the header of the email message (for example:img1002_345.jpg or if a movie file video5_movie.wmv)
3) Click on the save button
4) This will go into the downloads folder by default using windows Vista, but you will want to save it in your pictures or video files, if it is a picture file, if you don’t see the pictures folder, click on browse folders button
5) Click on pictures folder on the left Or if you don’t see pictures folder and are using windows xp, click on my documents, then double-left-click on my pictures folder. (if movie file, you may want to place it in the videos or my videos folder)
6) Type a new name for the file (optional) Click on save (on the lower right of the save as window)
7) On the download complete window click on close

To find the attachments you saved from Windows Live hotmail
1) Windows Vista Users: Click on the start logo button (located on the lower left side of the screen) – click on pictures
a) If you don’t see pictures in your start menu then you could be in windows classic view, click on the username file folder on your desktop, then double-click on the pictures folder, double-click on the picture file to view
2) Windows XP Users: click on the start button (located on the lower left side of the screen) Click on my pictures.
a) If you don’t see the My Pictures folder in your start menu then you could be in windows classic view, click on my documents folder on your desktop, then double-click on my pictures folder, double-click on the picture file to view.
3) Windows Vista Users: Click on the start logo button (located on the lower left side of the screen) – click on your user name in the start menu
a) If you don’t your username in your start menu then you could be in windows classic view, click on the username file folder on your desktop, then double-click on the Videos folder, double-click on the video file to watch the video.
4) Windows XP Users: click on the start button (located on the lower left side of the screen) Click on my documents
a) If you don’t see the My documents folder in your start menu then you could be in windows classic view, click on my documents folder on your desktop, then double-click on my videos folder, double-click on the movie file to view.
5) Close the windows to get back where you started
